another dream
i had another dream and this time i wasnt involved. nobody i knew was involved either. it was some sort of anime cartoon. not the ones you see on tv but movielike similar to nausicaa and the valley of the wind and princess mononoke.
there were five kids i think. teen or preteen im not sure. each could turn into great beasts and each had their own element. water, air, earth, etc. there were three girls and two boys i think. typical to anime they had colored hair and wild color coordinated clothes complete with facial markings.
aside from these kids there was an old monster couple and a tall old man. the monster couple were short squat creatures with huge gaping fanged mouths. the old man was a typical professor complete with glasses, shaggy white hair, beard and moustache.
the day was bright and sunny and they were investigating some sort of ruin while hiding from some large corporation bent on using the hidden power in the temple for nefarius reasons. the ruin was partially submerged in clear water and part of the group was swimming down to dig around the base of the ruin. they had no gear and either used their magical beast form or their normal human bodies. they took a lot of pictures both of themselves and of the ruin.
the leader of the corporation's digging expedition found out they were also there and used her magic to send a great serpent or lizard (i don't really remember what it was exactly) to attack them. it swam in the water and attacked the group. one of the women got snagged by the serpent and was either captured or eaten. one of the boys tried to save her and attack the serpent but it was too wily. in one part they tried baiting the monster by going back into the water and even though it attacked them they were not able to grab it. they were then forced to leave as it was getting too dangerous.
they flew away in a large great furry beast with wings. the beast carried some sort of small house in its paws and that was were they lived. the children held weird propellers in front of them to fly. these were something like broomsticks except there was a big propeller in front. the one who had a flying beast form flew half human half beast. he went to one of the girls and gave her the pictures they took of themselves and of the companion they lost.
some time skips and they are talking inside the house while it was being carried by the big flying thing. the monster couple and the professor were trying to convince the kids to not give up on the one they lost and to continue fighting (or something like that). anyway the kids were not listening and the old male monster suddenly grabbed his head and started gasping. he started to revert to his true monster form, wild and destructive. he was going to eat them all but tried hard to resist. his mouth grew more elongated and his claws grew longer. the kids rushed to protect the female monster as she was i think the most vulnerable but she pushed the kids away and went to her husband. he managed to revert back to normal and then i woke up.
