so much is going on right now that i'm having trouble focusing. . . . ok . i'm focused.
here are some things that happened this week:
1. two days ago, i caught a flat tire on the way out of greg's neighborhood. i returned after class to change it and a nice mexican guy came and helped.
2. yesterday, i didn't see death cab for cutie and stars, sadly. but, i saw a sweet great glass elevator show AND bought the mount eerie album "no flashlight" on vinyl, which is a superb purchase on my part.
3. today, i saw 'kiss kiss bang bang' and it was awesome. val kilmer hasn't ever let me down. i ate dinner with my family and cousins and now going out for the saturday night festivities.
i am reading a book on King Arthur right now because i love his story and its really interesting to me.
its really invigorating to me. right now in the book, King Arthur is riding around as an errant knight--no one knows that its really him because he doesn't show his face-- and he's challenging some of the best knights in the kingdom. in the challenges, the rules are, whoever throws the other from his horse wins, and the one who falls to the ground has to serve the winner for seven days.
see, King Arthur isn't yet married to Lady Guinevere, but he serves her as a knight, which means he fights for her from afar.
what's cool is, every time King Arthur wins, and so he sends all these really good knights to serve Lady Guinevere, and by doing so, proves his love to her.
let's hear it for chivalry! i love how the king and his knights were strong and admirable men. that's how i'd like to be.
have a nice saturday night everyone.
