In happier news, the appropriate people have stated that it's fine if I start using the Oxford (aka serial) comma in the publication I'm editing.

It's kind of silly how happy I am about this. I really, really like the Oxford comma. I was deeply sad when I realized the previous editor didn't use it and worried that they'd want me to continue on that way. But no, I get to institute it. :D
