[cosplay] Pauldron!

With less than two weeks to go to Emerald City Comic Con, I realized I had to get off my ass if I was going to cosplay Red Lantern Guy Gardner there. So today, I made one of the pauldrons.

It was going to be both pauldrons, but as it turns out, I need more sculpey. It took more than I expected. Still, I'm pleased with the results. I shouldn't even be awake right now, so I'll save most of the commentary and just post pics:

I think the front and the back look great. From the side, it looks asymmetric, but that's because my body doesn't curve the same way in front of the shoulder as it does behind it. The a symmetry is more obvious in person, oddly enough. But anyway, people mostly look at the costumes from the front anyway. :-D
