Abel and Esther discovered the city's cathedral a few days ago, and along with young Ion, the four of us have settled there. We have cleaned it and made it habitable and Abel seems more content now. I have a feeling that something was the matter between him and Esther, but it seems to have been patched up now. He did not, however, find Cain's ( Read more... )

Cain is charming with me. He gave me a flower and stayed on the rooftop to make me company.

He was once charming with me as well.

Should I be concerned for my life?

Only if you have something that he wants. Otherwise, I doubt it.

He only asked my company and friendship before even knowing who I was.

I’m sorry but Cain has been nothing but gentle and caring towards me. How he behaved to a total stranger like me. A sinful creature as myself and selfishlessly offered me to return with him to his world because I was feeling lonely not knowing if I had anything of use?

It doesn’t fit your opinion.

He appears so broken and lonely. He reminds me to my twin.

You may keep your opinion, miss, and I will keep mine. I once loved Cain as a sibling too, but that was nine hundred years ago.

As I said earlier, I do not wish to argue. I simply wish to keep my loved ones out of harms way, and Cain poses a threat to them.

I see. I respect that.

He offers no threat to me or my loved ones, thus I allow myself friendship.

Does anyone of yours have Nanomachines as Cain?

Idle curiosity. If yes, I reinforce my warning about stay away from my twin. If he’s afraid or upset, he can control anything inorganic. While I don’t care what happens to your people, I don’t look forward to find my brother as an emotional wreck.

Abel does, though I do not any longer. We have no desire for conflict, nor would we frighten or upset him, but as you wish, we will leave him be.

Even if you aren’t hostile, his mind is rotting as his body. Rosiel’s mental and emotional state is very delicate.

I see. Very well then. He will be given as much space as necessary.
