First off, did you ever tell someone something that you knew you wanted to say, but your timing was way off and made your intentions for shit? i have, i dont recommend. Ill keep some people vaguely updated.
So, if it takes longer than a day to get there on a bus, take your time, save the money and spring for a plane ticket. It is uncomfortable, and the longer it takes to get there, the more stops you have. The more stops you have the more chances there are for error, and believe me, err they will.
