So hi guys!!! The holidays kinda kicked my ass, and when I wasn't trying to catch up on sleep or running around like a chicken with its head cut off, I was playing over at
dramadramaduck. Because I have no life anymore, Edgeworth's life is, apparently, my life now. I kinda haven't checked my friends page in a week or so, so if I missed out on anything important or interesting, let me know!!
I'm going to go back today and try to read through it because HEY, I'm home sick today! YAY. XP I have, like, the sinus infection from hell, or something. I got a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I'm not sure if I'll even be going in to work for a few hours before it or what. If I feel as bad then as I do now, probably not, but I don't have any more than 8 hours of sick time left so we'll see. SO glad I'm not still in the Customer Care department; it was insanely hard to call in, and they would never have let me come in for a few hours and then leave, like my Lead is going to do tomorrow.
Speaking of work, I don't know if I mentioned but the claims department is fucking awesome. We brought the turnaround time for claims from 40-45 days, to TEN DAYS, in a matter of a couple months. WITH a full complement of new claims coming in. I have no idea how they suddenly got rid of a backlog that had been killing the company's claim turnaround time for three fucking years, but it makes me happy.
Anyway, back to Christmas. I was finally able to give Bridgie the 'Gyakuten Saiban Meets Jazz Soul' and 'Gyakuten Meets Orchestra' CDs! We've already listened to them and they're spectacular!! My favorite track on both is, of course, 'Great Revival - Reiji Mitsurugi', but 'Godot - The Fragrance of Dark Coffee' is almost tied with it because, DAMN both versions are beautiful. The orchestra one especially. It keeps getting stuck in my head, and that's not a bad thing.
zully, we'll be sure to make you copies, thanks again. :D
Oh, and Bridgie's copy of the Gyakuten Saiban 3 soundtrack just arrived...yesterday. Day after Christmas. NICE. XD
As for my schwag, I ended up with a bunch of awesome movies, The Tick vs. Season 1 (yay!), some REALLY great over-the-ear headphones (like, REALLY REALLY great, the sound quality is amazing, Bridgie spoiled me. <3) with a sixteen foot extension cord for watching TV when Bridgie's in the room, a bunch of other stuff and OH YES, Bridgie got me ABSOLUTE SANDMAN VOL. 1! I HAVE ABSOLUTE SANDMAN!! It's as beautiful as I'd hoped it'd be. *_* I can't wait to read it and see all the amazing re-done colors.
Might go over to Bridgie's brother's place this weekend and see his awesomely cool daughter one more time before she goes back home. And then for New Year's Eve we decided at the last minute to go to Disneyland again for the fireworks. Bridgie got us a room at the Paradise Pier. WHEE! I've never stayed at a Disneyland hotel before, and she's never stayed at that one, so it'll be even better than last year. We'll BOTH be able to drink, for one thing. XD
Here's how Edgeworth and Phoenix spent their Christmas. Aaaaaw. We're still putting stuff up: we hit, like, 6000+ words last night. O_o
SO, now that I've rambled on for a sufficient length, how was everyone else's Christmas? Hope it was totally awesomesauce!!!
