I'm INSANE.
My beloved boots are dying. I've had this pair of Skechers for nearly ten years now. They were the first piece of clothing I got when I really decided to adopt my own style, back in hi skool, these boots and my huge-ass pair of jeans that I painted Vegeta on (the first piece of clothing I painted on). That was awkwardly written. Oh well. These boots have been with me through so much. I wore them through the big ice storm that froze Memphis for days and left some areas of the city without power for a month. I wore them on the streets of Vegas; the snows of Lake Arrowhead, in the mountains by here; in the midst of Wizard World Chicago and probably through the stalls of Dragon Con Atlanta. These boots were my pride and joy for so many years. The leather around the top is worn away, the neat bubble with the Skechers logo on the sides is a funky brown color, and scratched to hell, but I still wore them as often as always. But now, they've finally started to really take critical damage. The inner lining in the heel of the right one wore out, and it's started to hurt when I wear them. I'm going to check and see whether that can be repaired, but they're very old, and beat up.
So I went out and bought a $120 pair of huge-ass Dr. Martens steel-toed work boots, with lots of hardware and shit on them. They're so comfy and awesome and I can't believe I spent that much on a pair of SHOES, especially when I have a trip coming up in a couple weeks and my credit card bill is still so high. I fail at life. But at least my feet will look good while I'm failing. I'll post pictures of my beloved Skechers and my new Dr. Martens ('old an' busted' and 'new hotness'? if you get the reference you get an internet cookie) later.

WHY THE FUCKING FUCK DOES TMNT 2003 HAVE TO BE SO FUCKING GOOD!!!! This show has stuff I never thought I'd see in a cartoon ever again!! INTENSE storylines with fucked up, adult themes, VIOLENCE OUT THE YIN YANG, treachery, betrayal, blind fury, hate, attempted genocide, DEATH, lots of VIOLENT DEATH...OH MY GUH WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO GOOD. Half of me wants to have seen the whole series so I can go read and write fanfic for it (and oh, the fanfic fodder, it's like GOLD) and part of me wants it to never end! Bridgie spoiled me tonight with a hint (what little she knew) about something horrible that's going to happen to Don in (we think) the fourth season, and as Don's my bitch, I MUST SEE IT NOW. Waiting is going to be torture!!! Such sweet, sweet torture!
In the episodes we watched tonight, lots and lots of people got killed in various bloody ways, other people got possibly torn apart off-screen, someone flew through the air and landed on something very sharp and pointy, two separate pairs of people got melded together in two unrelated and extremely fucked up ways, and and and...

Me and Bridgie are apparently gonna have a foursome with Jack Sparrow and Tia Dalma. And Will and Elizabeth can watch. Barbossa too. And the monkey.
