you... are full of fate? i disagree. fate is holding your hand and directing you now, yes. it is taking the place of destiny, the slave driver, if only for right now. but, matronly, perhaps, fate has allowed you and i a glimpse of what life would be like if it were a movie or a play or a romance novel. and the music right now, even if you cannot hear it, is swelling, and your eyes are watering up and i am crying desperately: "don't leave me. not tonight. not ever.
