"Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the Comedian is the only thing that makes sense."

I love when everything seems to fall into place perfectly, and a random idea that comes to me during an epic plane jaunt becomes lauded as one of the better modern teaching ideas this side of the country by the upper brass of the University. Also, I love when someone proves they harbor a complete lack of empathy for others, even when presented ( Read more... )

lecture, anko, offices, luke/ryuzaki, missing hughes, i'm totally a brunette silk spectre, papers, hitsugaya, feeling pumped, watchmen, jean, mustang, students, sociopaths turn me on

Not quite sure the point behind making you move to an entirely different office as a punishment?

If Mustang was the one in need of an office, I would think that he would be more then happy to do the work to regain his precious privacy.

Hughes office is kind of a memorial, he was an amazing detective but he took a break for family time. Disrupting that office is like admitting he's gone.

As I told him you two can sort it out yourselves, I just need to get my things situated in the new place and then consider me gone.

Ahh, understandable. We had one of those, but times change and it doesn't make sense for empty space to sit unused. Had I known that, I would have just grabbed that space for myself from the get go.

It was merely a statement. Unlike others, I don't go whining to you to fix things. I'm just confused as to why exactly you're the one moving offices, when it should one or the other who actually the ones having the issue. You moving doesn't solve the issue if there is already another office at the ready.

It's not really all that noticeable from the main area, Hughes had this semi-private thing going since he had a habit of playing pranks on Mustang.

I figured as much, but just saying. It's because I'm not the one setting up ink bombs, nice one by the way, or complaining, so Bradley figured since I asked to be re-assigned a different office would do just as well.

Then perhaps you should direct the question to the person in question rather then involving someone who doesn't need the headache, hmm?

You've had plenty of opportunities to bring it up before. It's only brought to my attention now when it's displacing someone who isn't even involved in this between you and I.

I believe it did. Instead you went to the office shrink, who happens to have been a dear friend of mine for many years, and asked if she could coerce me to take the office she's being made to vacate for no apparent reason.

You certainly weren't voicing the fact that there was an empty office sitting around, even if it was serving as a shrine to this Hughes that meant so much to you guys. Did you think that perhaps if this was mentioned in the beginning, just imagine how much of this could have been avoided?

What part of she shouldn't have been involved is so freaking hard for you to grasp?!

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you're not the one who decides what I deserve. And it wasn't so much as to what I deserved, but what I needed to do my job properly. Something you sure as hell were not, and still are not concerned with.

Obviously. It's amazing you reached the position you did if such a simple concept was beyond your reach.

I don't want the place, you're welcome to it. I don't want your precinct, I don't want your damned position. I didn't want to be here in the first damned place. I know what I need to be able to do my job to it's fullest extent. I took a gamble and assumed that I couldn't trust that you would be of assistance in getting what I needed and it appears that I was correct in my assumption. I was willing to reach some sort of compromise, you didn't want to hear anything of it. So I took my cues from there.

I've taken what I needed and nothing more.

Now children, how about we all go out for ice cream - my treat - if you quit bickering?

...seriously, I'm starting to feel like a mother must feel when two of her precious rugrats start fighting in earnest. Can you both chill out for one day, please? I really will take you for ice cream, or drinks, or something, just give me one day's worth of peace.

It is kind of interesting watching you two though, if only I had popcorn...

I adore you.

But right now, there is nothing on this planet that will suffice as bribe enough to keep me in the same building as him.

And you know I adore you as well.

That's fine, can we still go get ice cream though? I have a craving for a huge bowl of fudge ripple and don't want to look like a porker eating alone.
