These are the drabble prequel/sequel things from the
meme thing at my journal. If you want one, comment. I can't really guarantee when I'll get to it but I'll try my damnedest.
I'm going to be updating this one post instead of making several small ones, so check back for new stuff in a couple days.
It doesn't take until dawn before people start to tire out but Jack and Kate sneak off into the jungle the first chance they get anyway. It's the only way they have to guarantee not being interrupted because while their friends are good people, they don't really understand the concept of privacy, something newlyweds everywhere cherish and just because they're on an island and the most mismatched couple ever, Jack and Kate aren't immune to that craving.
It is, however, well past dawn when Kate slumps against her new husband with a sort of strangled sounding cry turned moan. Her grin is probably permanently plastered to her face and for a moment she thinks about trying for another round before her exhausted body protests and forces the idea aside.
Jack's as tired as she is, she can tell by that look on his face, completely sated and in total bliss but beyond any sort of physical movement at this point. Yet somehow, he manages to raise his hand and cup her cheek, moving in for a kiss that damn near breaks her heart with the amount of love behind it. He mumbles something that vaguely sounds like "love you" against her forehead and pulls her just that much closer.
Her eyelids are starting to droop by this point. It's hard to stay focused on the real world. Much easier to close her eyes and let the sound of his heartbeat lull her to sleep. And that's exactly what she does. He doesn't intend on falling asleep too, instead his plan was to simply watch her sleep because she's mesmerizing when she sleeps, peaceful and something else he can't really put his finger on but within minutes, he's followed her to the land of dreams.
