You know, as i thought about it all night, and most of today, I really am thinking that a bike and a cross country trip when I graduate will be in order. We'll see how I feel about it next summer, and if I have the money to get a bike.
Seriously. Spend the summer getting used to riding a bike, then pack my knives, a coat or three, extra socks and some pants, and hit the road. Stop at some random dinner when im almost out of gas, pull up to the counter pop down my knives and say "Hi. Here is my resume. Id like to work for gas money for a few days. Ill do anything: Chop carrots and mop floors, take out the trash and tourne turnips. Just put me to work, minimum wage is fine." A pup tent in my saddlebags, and I'm good to go. Id head out cross country for a few months, end up some where. Find a real job, dig in, and eventually fly home to drive my car and all my shit out to wherever it was i ended up.
Kinda... ambitious. Kinda... gypsyish. Kinda cool.
Ill think about it. A kind of way for me to get out and about and not hold so much to standards and a harsh life that the kitchen is. A little place for me to grow a bit, probably. Maybe give me material to write a book.
Its something to think about, thats for certain.
