Sarah Marie Vittoria. Better known to her friends as 'Krypta Notte.' Age: 23. Devil hunter, demon. Human before possession, but due to her in-canon death, her only chance of survival and fighting back was to become the very thing she hates. Bound to a spirit named D'vegmir. 5'11", redhead, green cat eyes, 135 lbs. Scythe wielder and fire user. Has a scar running from her shoulder to her wrist on her right arm, usually if not always hidden from view under her jacket.
PERSONALITY
Stern and cold at first. Over time, this breaks away and she's spunky and optimistic about the future. Beneath that is her calmness and understanding of how things are, and not rebelling against them, but finding other ways to go around them. It's not exactly what everyone else agrees to, but it's what works for her. Never ever ever gives up. Ever. Still loves her boyfriend, Nick Veros, even though it was his spirit that was responsible for making him kill her.

Main character. Story revolves around her explaining what's occured in her town to a scribe over the past ten years.

PERSONALITY
Cocky, ignorant, and full of himself on the surface. Used as a facade to see how people or enemies react to his attitude. Smart, complex, and able to hold his own against hordes of demons relatively easily.
PRE-BETRAYAL: Caring about Krypta, with all his being. Careful about his plans, he's not one to go at things on a whim. Trusts Abelloros to know when to have him counter and as a backup if things get in a pinch. Reliable, endearing. Fights for humanity, and the prevention of demons overtaking the world.
POST-BETRAYAL: Having seen her killed by his own hands, he's now a shadow of what he used to be. Broken, unwilling to fight. A crumpled mess on the floor, all he can do is cower and scream in rage as Abelloros takes over and locks him away inside his own body.
ABELLOROS' PERSONALITY AS NICK: Self-assured, snarky, powerful. Abelloros knows he's unstoppable, and will flaunt it if given the chance. He won't openly attack others, but if they irk him, he won't hesitate to show what he's capable of. Able to summon fire, tempest powers, and if in his actual demon form, illusions as well. King of all Hell, he's confident and unmoved by any human emotions other than anger and hate. Those he feeds on. His mission? Rule all of Earth as the queen once ruled all of Hell.
PLACEMENT IN THE STORY
Main character. Head villain and victim of possession and downfall of Earth into Hell's reign.

Human, reincarnated mortal form of a demon lieutenant in Hell, scribe and scholar known as a Seeker's Diplomat. 6'1", black hair with white streaks in the front, heterochromia (red and blue eyes), 170 lbs. Unknowning about his past as a lieutenant or anything involving Hell. Able to read demonic script. Untrained in weapons, but when awoken can use fire better than his head general.
PERSONALITY
Non-confrontational unless necessary. Instinctual. Soft-spoken and caring. Wise beyond his years. BRITISH MOTHERFUCKER WHO WEARS A MONOCLE AND HAS A FANCY ROBOT AI. HE ALSO LOVES PSYCHOLOGY AND THEOLOGY. Level-headed, not one to lose his temper. Bloke who seriously still loves his first wife even after she left him. )8 Also has a habit of calling people by "ma'am" and "sir," even if they tell him not to call them that. Polite and oftentimes the voice of reason in fights or quarrels.

Main character, though not seen for much until the latter part of the story. He's the scribe who Krypta tells her side of the story to.

PERSONALITY
Suave, sophisticated. Very opinionated at times, but also persuasive. Harmless joking, usually caught off-guard easily. Gentle, protector. Smart, intelligent and has a tendency to be wry in sarcasm during tight moments. Works not for the money, but for the decency of keeping morals alive. Big brother figure, assists others whenever they're in trouble.
PLACEMENT IN THE STORY
Secondary character. Oldest of two brothers in Krypta's family. Dies early on in the story, after his sister's possession.
