Title: Facade (Chapter 2)
Pairing: Ohmiya
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: This is all fiction, and I don't own the characters. If I do, I'll be too busy to write this.
Summary: Ohno Satoshi is a new psychiatrist. He gets a new patient on his first day of work at the asylum. He thinks he knows what he is getting himself into. That is only what Ohno Satoshi thinks.
The scream had caught Ohno by surprise. He stared at his patient, mouth open, gaping like a fish. This is definitely not the best way to start your first job.
Satoshi knew that patients at the mental institution had a volatile temperament, and he had prepared himself to face their unpredictability. But, anyone would be momentarily stunned when you finally get to take on cases independently, and the first patient you get as an independent professional starts screaming like a banshee out of the blue.
Yes, Satoshi knew he had to be an independent and professional psychiatrist. There is no one to back him up or cover for him when he slips up, he is no longer the inexperienced trainee he’d started out as.
It is nerve-wracking not knowing where went wrong. Was it his actions that had aggravated this patient? Or was it a common occurrence for this patient? Wait. Sho-kun did say that the patient Ninomiya Kazunari screams… a lot.
Snapping out from his stupor, he realised that Nino had curled up at the furthest corner of the bed and the screams had ceased. His arms and dark hair hid his face from the psychiatrist’s sight. He was shivering and whimpering like a frightened puppy.
“Nino… Nino…?” Satoshi waited for a response as he inched cautiously towards the shivering ball on the bed.
When he was an arm’s length away from his new patient, the man’s shivering came to a halt. He peered out from behind his arms, the corners of his mouth curled up into a devilish smirk, and eyes lit up with a mischievous glint.
“That… was a priceless expression…” Nino’s smirk had turned into a grin, as he slowly got of the bed.
“Huh…? A what..?!” The dark-skinned man took a step back as the fair one approaches him.
“Thank you Oh-chan… for that entertaining reaction.” The fair one drawls as he draped himself around the psychiatrist.
“Oh-chan…? Wha… where did that come from…?” A confused expression graces the brown-haired man’s face as he wondered where the pet name came from.
With Nino draped around him, Ohno had a close-up on his patient’s face. A mole on his chin, fair complexion, almost flawless skin, soft-looking lips, complete with a set of big brown eyes. How many people would he have spellbound if it wasn’t for the fact that he was confined in a cell in the mental institution?
“Nowhere… Oh-chan is Oh-chan.” Nino ended his reply by capturing the psychiatrist’s warm lips with his contrastingly cold ones. The patient smirked against the kiss as he felt the psychiatrist stiffen up. His hands found their way to the victims butt, and they began their work of groping and massaging the defenceless butt.
It took a while for Satoshi’s brain to process what was going on, and when it finally did, he pushed the pale-skinned man off him with force. Nino landed on the ground four feet away with a thud, his face lighted up with the same smirk he had before. The devilish smirk of accomplishment.
“You… What the hell do you think you are doing?!” Satoshi roared, having lost all composure and forgetting his professionalism. His face contorted with fury, hands balled up into fists, and veins showing on his arms. All thoughts were revolving around ways to wipe the smirk off the patient. Where were the security officers? Weren’t they supposed to be on guard and prevent any forms of assault from happening?
“Oh-chan is prettier than most of the people here you know?” Nino mocks in a sing-song voice. “A pretty and cute butt to match an equally pretty and cute face. Just my type!”
Satoshi glares at the youthful looking man, a mixture of anger, disbelief, and horror etched on his face.
“Just like an open book… ‘You are a crazy maniac!!!’ says Oh-chan.” Nino mimics his expressions. “Oh, aren’t all patients here like that Oh-chan?” The skinny man laughs, throwing back his head, body shaking with laughter.
“You think you can just mess with people? You think you can mess with me and the other psychiatrists here?” The brown-haired man had regained composure, although he was still seething. “Well, I won’t let you.”
The patient’s laughter immediately halted. His face was rid of all expression instantaneously, and the light in his eyes dissolved, turning them into lifeless orbs.
“Mess with people? I don’t understand what you are saying… Ohno-sensei.” Nino’s head was tilted to the left as he spoke monotonously. “A new addition like you to the dollhouse shouldn’t speak like that.”
“Dollhouse…?” Before Satoshi could make any sense of what was just said, the patient’s hands were around his neck in a strangling posture as he slams Satoshi into the padded cell wall and presses his body onto the dark-skinned man’s, preventing escape. In the back of his head, the psychiatrist wonders where the fragile looking, slight-built man summoned such strength from.
“Run away… away from here… regret… façade…” Ohno could feel the hands around his neck tightening; it was getting difficult to breath. The patient mumbled on incoherently, his eyes still lifeless, face still expressionless.
The cell door flung open as the security rushed in pulling the demented man off the psychiatrist. Ohno gasped for breath, and his lungs rejoiced at the large intake of air. He slides down the wall in relief. No, he is never going to rely on the lax security to save him ever again.
Once Nino was dragged off Ohno, he started humming a tune dreamily with no care of the world, as though nothing had occurred between them. The security left after sitting the humming man on his bed.
Satoshi walked towards the door. He had enough interaction with the patient for today, but he will be back tomorrow. Yes, Satoshi swore to himself out of frustration and anger that he will cure this patient, and he will abide by his words. He was never one to back down.
As he locked the cell door, he could see Nino waving at him whimsically through the shutter on the door. The pale-skinned man was swinging his legs, and out of the corner of his eye, Satoshi saw him mouth ‘See you again…’
--- End of Chapter 2 ---
Yay!!! I am done with Chapter 2. I seriously think that I am riding on adrenaline, because it really is a ungodly hour to be writing a fic. It is past 4am... My brain is fried so do forgive me if this chapter is... i don't know... weird...? This is like how I always write my project reports, by turning into a nocturnal creature.
Well the fic says everything about how I imagine Nino to be if he is deranged.
Real Nino seems to kind of live on crack along with Oh-chan just like the picture above shows.
Gemini individuals live on crack from time to time. At least I do... :3
Comments are LOVED! :D
