New Poem

May 13, 2008 15:57

Months of silence,
Not one regret
Holding on to my anger,
Like a child to a blanket

I think of you less and less now,
I wonder if you think of me
Six years is a long time,
To just throw away
But it was the only way

So many unspoken words
I won't start them now

We'll leave it where it is,
I can be angry forever
But you'll forget me eventually

I always say "The higher you climb, The harder you fall"

We've climbed the ladder,
And reached the top

When you finally fall,
Will you think of me?

I'll think of you
Remember how you would catch me when I fall

But not anymore,
I made the call,
And ended it all

I have no intension of fixing what I did,
Because you and I are not broken

We ran our course
And now it's done
This is my last goodbye
