This year's garden is now in the ground. Or in the ground which is in the pots. I'd been meaning to plant it yesterday as I try doing that on my birthday when possible, but it was overcast and rainy all day. Even though my balcony is covered it would have been a pain to undertake and the dreary weather probably wouldn't have been optimal for the seedlings.

Sun and horizontal width are not as abundant in this apartment, but I had more vertical space that I improvised with and hopefully enough sun will come through to give the plants what they need. I decided to attempt tomatoes in hanging baskets and it remains to be seen how that will pan out. The process of putting eye bolts into the overhead boards almost resulted in me taking a nosedive and isn't exactly something a person of my ill luck should attempt, but I have the baskets in position.

In addition to the two tomatoes and strawberry plant in the overhead baskets, there are also four different varieties of peppers, two basil plants, rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano, and parsley. There is still enough space to accommodate one more planter on the railing and I think I will attempt lettuce or some other sort of leafy vegetable on there.
