Messiah and other Hallelujah's

Messiah:

went really well. everyone sounded pretty damn good, some of us with the aid of painkillers, but hell, that counts. the ballet was well received. dancers. holy god. i've never EVER seen bodies like that in my life, and as previously and extensively discussed on the saturday evening no. 6, likely never will again. the conductor was adorable, and effective, and educational, and generally inspiring. i had purchased my own choral score, and she's all marked up now from her first messiah. *sniff* and the soprano soloist had the most gorgeous, clear, warm tone.

honestly though, i don't think i'll ever have that kind of opportunity again, to sing such an amazing work with a group like the chamber singers, with that calibre of conductor and orchestra. it might all be downhill from here. but thats okay, because it was wonderful. its a beautiful piece of music... very moving experience.
