I had no idea Dawn felt that way towards me. Anyone have a suggestion on what I should do without hurting her?

Yeah, I was surprised too. Though Black Leormon siad she knew almost at the start since Dawn caught Buizel.

I was either watching the both of you spend time together or compete in Contests; there's no way I could've realized how Dawn felt for you! Brock, on the other hand...I'd be surprised if he didn't know!
