Matsumoto Hideto, legendary guitarist from X-Japan, one of the most monumental rock bands in Japan and possibly history.
Hide (not like "hide" and go seek but more like Hee-de), he started a solo career in 1995 (2 years before X-japan broke up) which was very successful. Then in 1998 he was found dead in his bathroom, a case of suicide. Fans grieved his death, a few even attempted suicide (no I'm not kidding, he was that much of an impact on society). Later the Prime Minister of Japan constructed a memorial Museum in 2000 in commemoration of Hide.
