I'M SO SORRY IT'S LAAAAATE. For me at least. I didn't get time to write this weekend. But here it is!

Eeesh, the Gap, good job writing that part! Of course Watson's first reaction in the midst of that horror would be to want to help those people. <3 I especially liked the part where he reaffirms his goal of finding a way back to his normal life, an endearingly-Watson thing to do. I'm as sad as Watson to see Hammersmith go too, but that's the way of things in the Underworld.

Hmmm, I don't particularly relish the idea of Watson and the Marquis in a relationship (purely because in my mind Holmes and Watson and soulmates period), but I think they could, and already do on some level, have a very profound respect for one another that doesn't have to have a sexual component to it at all. However, I do see how Watson would turn to the one person he can really trust as a sort of anchor and confidant in all this madness, so yeah in that way it would be natural for their relationship to deepen into an actual temp relationship if they spend enough time together. The Marquis would have to give Watson back when Holmes comes calling though!

I agree, I don't really see The Marquis/Watson because I just love Holmes/Watson too much (as in: in a relationship of any real emotional value). However some obstacles, jealousy, misunderstanding, confusion etc. always make for good things in my book.

Thanks so much! I love your comments. :) I think the constant shifting of characters is definitely one of the defining things about London Below.

About the potential relationship, I don't ever mean to get in between Holmes and Watson! It's just, as I'm writing this, I keep making comparisons between Holmes and the marquis, which I think Watson would cling to, as you said. It wouldn't be permanent, and probably wouldn't even go so far as sex, but would just be a way for Watson to get a little bit more control over his life. Holmes is on his way to save the day though! finally :D
