And just for clarification, if you're picturing certain incarnations of Holmes and Watson, which ones are they? Because I keep swinging between Burke and Law for Watson and it's making me dizzy.

No, but really. Now that I've given it some thought (poor planning what?) I think Law!Watson would fit better, because he's younger (and therefore slightly more vulnerable), a bit cleverer, and more prone to violence. I haven't seen a lot of the Granada series, but Burke!Watson comes across to me as more Fondly Irritated But Mostly In Awe of Holmes rather than I Will Punch You In The Face If You Do That Again and then kiss it better type of fondly irritated. wow, look who put too much thought into that Holmes I haven't actually tried writing yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll come out as RJD!Holmes rather than Brett.
Thanks for reading! <3

(Christopher Walken, though. What a thought. That would be one hell as scary Watson, right there.)

I'm currently of the opinion that if you put a bowler hat and a moustache on something, it automatically becomes Watson...no matter what it is. Case in point.
