WIL Weekend 6

May 12, 2009 18:19

No rain? Who allowed this? *confusion*

1. It's good to be a sailor.

2. Sunday morning rose for the Contessa made Issac swell with pride when she blushed.
2a. Seeing Niki Baker tear up made it difficult for Joe not to tear up as well.

3. I have a superpower.
3a. It works on more than just two or three people.

4. It's good to have my iPod in the morning, it has my Issac Reeves playlist on it.
4a. It's also a good distraction on the way home.

5. Being dragged into a dance at morning gate is scary.
5a. Being able to follow along makes me happy.
5b. I should go to country dance more often.

6. Being asked to not attend Sunday morning foul time is odd.
6a. I can be foul on my own, but it's not as much fun.
6b. If bored, Issac will do something scandalous in a large group of people to make up for it.

7. Being called "Little Fysher" makes me feel like a character leech.
      7a. It's also strangely flattering.

8. Video cameras + odd "personal ad" + Stabbing spanish people in the face = patrons laughing their asses off.

9. Running cads table is HARD.
9a. Knowing that I caused at least one scandal at luncheon is gratifying
9b. Hearing George Bolyn say "BUGGER YOU TO DEATH" all the way from the corner = win.
9c. Katherine Boothe is not a cad, but it's funny to watch her try.
9d. It was fun, but I miss normal cad's table.

10. Karboushka gets more fun by the day.

11. Not knowing dance steps but still getting pulled into Amaroso with a villager is terrifying.
11a. Competing with a gyptian for that villager's affection during the dance is odd, Issac's never sharked anyone before.
11b. Bugger the gyptian, she was at my table during pub sing.

12. Sunday night comes way too soon.

13. Saturday night takes too long.

14. Disrupting my normal schedule because of personal issues leads to both Joe and Issac feeling extremely out of place.
14a. Issac needs to disrupt that schedule for different reasons.

15. His Grace, Duke of Suffolk, is remarkably casual about playing cards with a sailor.
15a. Issac is terrified of beating his grace.
15b. No anger for winning is soothing to Issac's nerves.

16. Baroness Powys is also a good card player.
16a. I still haven't named that bloody game.

17. Not being there for the beginning of parade is weird, but standing on the sideline until the scum section comes by gives Issac the chance to say awful, horrible things about the french to drunk patrons.

18. Selling women off during parade will almost always get a laugh.

19. I must CONSTANTLY stay hydrated.

20. Over-angry guard officers will confront you when called a "professional stander"
20a. Being on the upside of a battle of wits with that guardsmen is fun, but frustrating when it falls on deaf ears.
20b. Challenging said guardsmen to a wrestling match week next may have been a little hasty, but worth it.

21. Issac gets very upset when openly insulted in the street, especially when he can do nothing to retalliate.
      21a. That's why they're still unemployed.
21b. Playtrons that don't understand English law are frustrating when you are trying to defend your personal honor.
21c. Issac is not a common street thief, thank you very bloody much.

22. I need sleep. Lots and lots of sleep. Otherwise I'm weak all day.

23. Lack of rain was nice, even if it came at the cost of hot and sweaty people. Seeing Chess match on the board again ROCKED.
