i wake up early and end up feeling sick. D: this is so not worth it.
i don't understand why some films choose to have happy endings. i feel like sometimes films should end badly, or in a way that doesn't wrap all the plot up in a nice, neat bundle. i know that everyone in existence hated the ending of the mist, but i actually loved it. it disturbed me and shook me really badly, and i loved that! i feel kind of ripped off with happy endings when they're tacked onto the end of really disturbing movies. it's like, the movie spent 1+ hours making my skin crawl, and then suddenly everything's okay and everyone rides off into the sunshine, and every disgusted, disturbed and fearful emotion that got built up over the course of the movie suddenly evaporates. it sucks.
edit: ... that said, though, i also like endings that make sense. not like the ending of silent hill, which was miserable, but also made my friend and i go, "what the hell just happened?"
