Ahahahaaaaa he's gotta be like... the only, only character I've ever played without knowing jack about the original canon when I started. I started playing him about three years ago? I was actually initially playing Hayner and Queen Minnie in a cracky Kingdom Hearts RP (13thorgy; mentioning it now because I will probably mention it again later), but I chatted to 13O's Cloud-mun a lot and she was like, "DUDE YOU'RE A LOT LIKE ZACK, YOU SHOULD PLAY HIM," so I was like "OKAY" and gave it a shot!
... 'Course, this was long before Crisis Core came out, so it was totally okay to just play Zack like a stronger, flirtier, way more confident version of my 17-year-old (I was 17 at the time) self, because Zack only had like what, 10 minutes of total screentime in both FF7 and Advent Children combined? (Maybe about an hour of screentime if you wanna count Last Order, too.) All I knew about him was what Cloud-mun told me, and that was that he was really optimistic and confident and pervy, which was fantastic because I love playing characters like that. When Crisis Core came along it totally blew all that out of the water, though; Zack's still optimistic and confident, but he's also super sweet and really innocent and doesn't really seem like the kind of guy who'd intentionally try to rile people up or even flirt with them; when he wants something he'll say it openly. (Like him meeting Aerith in a really bizarre way and then immediately asking her on a date.) tbh he's a little harder to play now because he's basically Mr. Nice Guy; he's a tragic version of Sora. I'm really not good at playing guys who're Mr. Sunshine all the time. Them nice'ing it up everywhere is really boring. I love Zack/Aerith, don't get me wrong, but I really do wish that Square-Enix had kept him as a perv instead of turning him into, like, a SAINT. His dedication to Aerith is wonderful and I seriously adore it, but it's really hard to play when you're in an RP and there isn't an Aerith around.
Sims
AAAAAA oh God what is there to say about the Sims? I have a severe love/apathy relationship with it. I hafta admit: I tend to just use it as a substitute for fanfic and doujinshi. So I'll go nuts over it and love it intensely for about a week... and then I'll get really bored because there isn't really much else to do for characters relationship-wise once they've met, dated, gotten engaged and married, and had a kid.
... On a weird note though, The Sims is actually one of those games where I have, like, MORAL CRISES over what I do with the characters. SERIOUSLY; I really want to try killing people off, but I can't bring myself around to doing it because I'm like "but then I'll make people so upset, and I'll be destroying happy families and that would be so cruel." I've never killed off a single Sim in any of my Sim games, not even by old age. Clearly I make a terrible God; my world would be rife with overpopulation. 8)
Edgeworth
E-Edgeworth. RAYCH, YOU JUST HIT 2/3 OF MY MAJOR RP CHARACTERS IN THE LAST THREE YEARS. XD I think I moved onto the Ace Attorney fandom after SLOWLY pulling myself away from the FF7 one? I got 13O's Cloud-mun addicted to it too, and we said that we should RP together! When saying this though we decided that one of us should RP Phoenix and one of us should RP Edgeworth, but we didn't know who should take who. Ultimately I think I said I'd take Edgeworth because he's basically the complete opposite of Zack, so it'd be... well, a challenge. (Incidentally, Cloud/Phoenix-mun went on to be one of the best Phoenixes in the fandom, imo, and I... kinda cracked at one point and made Edgeworth the Katamari king of all prosecutors a psycho.
I pretty much love Edgeworth for all the same reasons that every Ace Attorney fangirl does. Character with a tragic past that haunts him 'til this day, his weird relationships with everyone in the game (like with Phoenix, Gumshoe, Manfred and Franziska), his snarkiness, him being a total seme in court and a woobie out of court, his retarded quotes ("MAYBE YOU SHOULD BE STRIPPED NAKED AND RUN OUT FOR MAKING A MOCKERY OF THIS COURT!"), his obvious GAY, the geeky fanboyishness that he hides under a layer of I'm-so-cool-and-intimidating-look-at-my-scary-glare... yeah. He's totally another character that I find (comparatively) hard to play, though. XD; He's so... sensible, on the surface. And serious. He's funniest when people try to rile him up (LIKE anti-charm ♥) or when shit happens to him. Or when he's being smug. But he tends to only be smug at Phoenix because a) orz competitive and b) Phoenix has the best "D:" faces ever.

... aka. the fandom that brought me back to RPing and introduced me to the world of Lj fandoms. XD I've been using Lj since '03, but before Kingdom Hearts, I was in a few really crappy because they were modded by me Harry Potter RPs, and then I dropped out of fandom and did I-don't-know-what for several years, and was basically... one of those really quiet Lj users that used her blog regularly, but had like 13 people on her flist and didn't try interacting with people much. Kingdom Hearts made me actively look for things on Lj; I found 13O, joined as Hayner and Queen Minnie, and basically got sucked into Lj's black hole of anime/manga/gaming fandoms from there. KH is always gonna be the fandom with the sweetest memories for me. The game itself is just... sugar, basically; sugar on top of syrup on top of caramel-coated white chocolate. Bad things happen, but they're never really that bad because the game is a mix of Disney and Square-Enix, and Disney would never allow anything too tragic to happen to their characters; plus, the main character is basically a total syrupy mushball who travels from world to world all heroic and like, beats people up with his LIGHT and AWESOME and FLUFFY KINDNESS, but all he really wants is to find his best friend and then go back home and askjgbjakshfdkh okay don't get me started on this, I can write essays on Sora and Riku. But yeah. It was a game that was just really sweet, and really appealing, and I loved the characters and the worlds immensely, and after playing the game? I loved the fandom, too. I wrote a huge not-high-school-thank-God AU fanfic for it once, so. I do sometimes miss KH, and it bugs me a little that it feels like Square-Enix is just pumping out all these new KH games for the sake of milking the title until it turns into a disgusting dried-up old teat; as far as I'm concerned, KH isn't really KH without Sora, Donald and Goofy as the leads. (That said, though, I probably will still pick up KH3, just to see what it's all about.)

I-I don't really know how to explain this one. XD;; It is the most retarded pairing ever but I ship it. A couple of months ago, I joined roleplayedingly as Klavier, and then CrisisCore!Zack because a) kecleon told me to, and b) they had a Cloud there. Back then I didn't have a clue what Gintama was. And it was kinda funny, because Zack met Gintoki a few times but he just thought he was a total basket case. (C'mon, his first appearance was as a weird dog-man and he wasn't making any sense and was talking matter-of-factly about aliens and men being boys in their hearts and God I don't even know.) They were weird winged dog-people that killed a dinosaur together, and then they were stranded on a beach and Zack stole Gintoki's floatie, and then this retarded thread happened and I think they were just kidding around? But from that point onward they kept calling each other by stupid sappy cheesy nicknames and referring to each other as the husband/wife and nghhhh I dunno, they just have really ridiculous threads. Like this one, where they were all genderswapped (Zack used to have this image as his default icon) and had an extra power. I used to be a huge Zack/Cloud shipper (when it comes to slash ships, I mean; het ships don't count, I still love Zack/Aerith) but then Gintoki came along and kinda killed that so askgjbakh

Speaking of Zack, I'm totally gonna bring my PSP along with me to Sydney so I can at least replay the beginning of Crisis Core. XD; Doubtless the mind-numbingly repetitive missions and mission music will grate on my nerves again, but I really need to... like... remember what Zack acts and talks like, because he's been slipping so much since I started playing him at RPD (read: a non-serious setting). And I forget that he's nice but he has really awkward ways of phrasing things sometimes, like "oh hey Cloud Sephiroth's kinda killing you oh well remember what you learned in SOLDIER-- OH WAIT YOU NEVER MADE IT TO SOLDIER OLOLOLOL oh well you're my living legacy so you'd better go beat him up otherwise you'll make me look bad P.S. this is somehow an inspiring speech," and that he's totally still a really young teen sometimes, like when that kid in the slums nicked his wallet and he chased the kid and when he caught him he was so pissed off that he looked like he was gonna beat the kid up (even though he didn't, because orz Aerith was standing right next to him; way to make a bad impression, a big strong SOLDIER beating up a little street urchin). Not to mention the fact that he keeps unintentionally making Yuffie cry.
And speaking of RP, I've had an idea for an RP for... about a month now, and idk whether or not I'd want to put it into action but it's been mulling around in my head and I-I'd really like to be able to exchange ideas with someone about it, if only to sort it out and make it less complicated? Right now it's definitely complicated (for the mods, anyway; for the players it's fairly simple), and it's a total mess because I had two separate ideas and mashed them together and instead of forming a beautiful sexy lovechild, it's formed a hideously grotesque freak of RP nature that refuses to die no matter how many times I hit it with a spiked baseball bat. Also I wanna play someone who isn't Zack but idk who; if I ever make an RP the only character I really want (and... kinda have) to play is the NPC. Which is horrible because EWWW, OC. Maybe I should play Eric Cartman. Because he's such a douche and it'd be amazing if like, he was in an RP and he actually managed to gather up a gang of haet. RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAHHH.
