HOLY SHIT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME normally I pick up on accents in a snap but I was talking to this girl and didn't realize until much later that she had an American accent instead of an Aussie one because she's not from Melbourne, she's from Canada. She's really nice though, lmfao, it's cool. This... is not really a fact so much as an observation, but a lotttttttt of Caucasian (as opposed to Asian) Aussies are pretty awkward when talking to Asians-- especially Asians that don't have an Aussie accent. Not all Aussies are like this, but... a lot of them are. DO NOT ASK WHY BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW. But they're quite obvious about their awkwardness -- like, not daring to make prolonged eye contact, nervous giggling, etc. -- which makes me feel awkward so it's just a big mess of awkwardness because as EEEEVERYONE knows, I'm pretty awkward even without feeling awkward to begin with. (God that's a lot of "awkward"s in one sentence.) But Kaylee was really quite relaxed so I was like "THIS IS KINDA SUSS" and I couldn't figure out why until I placed her accent. So hurr.
Anyway. Um um UMMM today... the philo/politics class was pretty good. We split off into groups and I said straight off the bat "I KNOW JACK ABOUT POLITICS" so my group was nice about it. And the stuff we discussed was interesting; like, who is and who isn't a 'legitimate' target in warfare. Soldiers, civilians, children, etc. And we managed to argue both for... well, yanno, standard war, which is SOLDIERS ONLY, and for total war, which is... everyone.
Speaking of SOLDIERs, I started bastardizing playing as Zack at
roleplayedingly, finally. So that was fun. I am genuinely, weirdly fascinated by the idea of Axel as Zack's kid, but... there you go, me and pairing Zack with everyone in a non-UNFedingly way.
Tomorrow: WATCHMENNNNN YAYYYYYYY um... I hope it'll be good.
