sakgjbkas why do I keep failing at this. I pulled an almost all-nighter the night before so I could sleep last night, yeah? EXCEPT THAT FOR SOME RETARDED REASON I COULDN'T SLEEP and I woke up today pretty much dead. Went to the exam and missed an entire question (something that I only realized, like, TWO HOURS after doing the exam-- "oh hey hold on, I did question 1 and 3; where'd question 2 go?"), zoned out a lot, kept yawning, forgot how to write a lot of words... I'm not upset about it, though. I know I passed. I'm sure I've got at least a credit for what I did. Maybe a distinction. Not sure. That depends on how tough Ms. Chen decides to be. The English-to-Chinese translation was incredibly difficult; we had to write something about the freakin' Chinese zodiac. And about "zodiacal animals". We were allowed a Chinese-English dictionary, which helped a lot, but... "ZODIACAL ANIMALS" ISN'T IN THE CHINESE DICTIONARY. "Zodiacal animals act as a counter for years as they symbolize a twelve year cycle according to traditional Chinese astrology" or something like that aksjbgkajsg kill meeeee.
In case I didn't say it before? Ms. Chen is the best. Chinese teacher. Ever. After the exam, I went with Rose, David and Lloyd to Box Hill, where Ms. Chen had booked pretty much half a restaurant for the CHI*070 kids to have all-you-can-eat hotpot. The hotpot food was supermarket standard, but the soup? Oh my God, it was amazing. It made all the food amazing. Everything was great. And today was pretty chilly and windy, too, so the hotpot warmed us all up. And then after that she treated us to ice-cream and then drove a bunch of us back to Uni. Gah she's such a sweetheart.
... UNLIKE LLOYD, who glanced at my tongue piercing and my "CHEER UP EMO KID" shirt and immediately decided that I was in one of the triads in Hong Kong. I'm in a triad like Wocky Kitaki is gangsta.
If I haven't replied to a comment of yours, I'm not ignoring you. I'm just. Very, very sleepy. Need to pack, need to wake up. Need to finish off a lot of things today; I'm flying back home tomorrow. HOME~ It's not really exciting or anything, but I get warm fuzzy feelings thinking about it and thus deserves a tilde. Even at the prospect of moving back into my smelly matchbox of a room. The desk space leaves much to be desired, but it's cosy and I like it. ♥
