Was gonna post a massive tl;dr last night but I have no internet. Mom has changed the whole internet thing in our house. Also, I was up until 3am talking with my younger brother. I love talking with my brother; we talk about silly crap and like, History and Criminology and Psychology and blah, it's interesting. Like, we were tossing around theories as to why, if you look at research, Hong Kong should have a super high crime rate, yet it's Australia that's more dangerous and crap. (Just talking about street crime here; domestic violence is probably a totally different matter, unfortch. :\)
Anyway, uh... long story short, I went to the airport yesterday and got nagged at by my aunt for ages and oh God I really loathe being nagged at, seriously. If you nag at me, I'm far more likely to just filter you out and not listen/do the opposite. But anywho, I was eating lunch and met Ji Hye (Philosophy buddy) and she just happened to be on the same flight as me. She was coming to HK as a vacay before going home to Korea. We didn't end up even REMOTELY near one another on the plane, but it was nice to chat to her; like, we took photos and stuff, which I'll post up later when I'm not in a hurry and shit. We met up afterwards as well, which was nice. ANYHOW, I got on the plane, and I'd forgotten how much I hate flying 'cause by the end of it I was squirming all over the place, but it was cool anyway 'cause yay, going home. I watched Bridge to Terabithia and was like, "This is so wanktarded" at the beginning and then cried like a moron when the -- uh, God, is this movie new? -- WHEN THE BAD THING HAPPENED. Then I flipped to another channel that had Ghost Rider and LOLed SO HARD because it was super-stupid. And then I watched Wild Hogs. That was really funny and good. Uh, and I also was competing with this random dude sitting in front of me in a trivia game. That was awesome. I kicked his ass 2/3 times. :D
I was so happy when the plane landed. Like, seriously, when you go down into Melbourne it is just the most awful thing ever because all you see is flat land and miles of desert, and it's kinda like "Oh SHIT where the hell'm I going to?" But Hong Kong's all lit up; the lights look like glitter at night and it was 10pm when I landed and I was like, "YES, the city is still awake and alive!" Because, honestly, Melbourne city = pretty much kaput after 6pm.
My mom and brother came to meet me at the airport, which was really nice of them. x) I had a burger at Burger King. OH MAN, the burgers here are so much better than the burgers in Melbourne, I kid you not. I must be far more used to the Hongkie taste.
And... and now I have to run out and meet Alice for lunch (AND THEN I'M GOING SHOPPING IN MK, BWEEE ♥) and... yeah, shutting up now. God, this ended up being a tl;dr anyway. Buh.
OH, AND JUST A RANDOM NOTE: people in HK, call my home number, not my cell. My mom hasn't given me back my SIM card yet so my cell is pretty much useless right now. :\
x) ♥!
love,
this is fucking awesome,
lol yay
