I've decided that the next three days are going to be fantastic.
This past week as been COMPLETE AND UTTER CHAOS. It started a little last weekend, when a certain homosexual that I know (I'm not naming names!) would not get over the fact that I had no time to study together on Sunday because I had to do a little thing called work. I do dislike my job, but I do it because I get to see my uncle, and because he pays me the big monies to be his second-in-command.
His XO, if you will.
I did a good portion of the study guide on Saturday, and I met with the homosexual on Monday to finish the rest. (I've been spending alot of time with him lately, actually. And his puppy. And his Lion, who finally got a job as a copywriter! Goooooo Lion! Ready? Oooo-kay! Go Lion! Go-go go-Lion!)
I would suck as a cheerleader. On Monday, I was reminded that I had an orientation to attend in another city on Tuesday, and thusly would not be able to take the test with the rest of the class. Studying for the test was nerve-wracking enough. After making the necessary arrangements to take it on Wednesday, I was probably an hour away from leaving for the orientation. Other things that happened on Tuesday also included forgetting my MP3 player in History of Women in Europe. Thank goodness for the professor. She kept it for me and I thanked her profusely when I got it back today.
The rest of it is kind of a blur, but there are still some things I have to do.
Oh, on Friday, I dented and scratched a car as I was trying to get into an already too-small parking space. So I had to deal with my insurance company and I had to call the person, because I left a note and she wanted to actually take to me face-to-face, and I'm like WOMAN I HAVE NO TIME. She was nice though, which I appreciated alot. Turns out she lives one block away from me. I'm probably going to lay low for a while. Lol.
I have francais examen on lundi, which should be relatively straightforward in terms of studying. I also have to finish two chapters out of the le excercices livre, but I really like learning French. It's been alot of fun so far, and le professeur is really educated and funny and just generally a ball of fun.
The next three days are going to RULE YOUR MOM. My brother is home for the weekend, so spending time with him is a definite plus. He really should've stayed at school, but look at me, I don't care. I missed him.
He's attending a private school, so it's interesting to hear about his experiences with some of his more upper-class peers. Apparently there are alot of Republicans among the student body as well, which is somewhat disconcerting. Although, he did tell me that he's made a habit out of standing up for people in his Religion class. There's this one girl who said something like, "Gay people shouldn't get married because they're disgusting." And there's a gay kid sitting in class, too.
Makes me think that all thsoe years of sacrifice were totally worth it. I'm one proud sister.
In other news, I also managed to take the Chinese placement test at school. Lotta good that did me, seeing as how I scored 59/60. Hello? What does that mean? That I take one Advanced Chinese languageclass and I can be considered a Chinese major/minor? That would be totally useless. I should go study abroad or something.
I'm also thinking about going back to school in the Spring to do another major. Either that, or I'm going to start coursework for the pre-med post-bacc program. I have advising to attend on Tuesday, so we'll see where that goes.
Anyways, I'm pooped and technically in bed already. Godspeed, Livejournal. Remember to vote in November.
