"Doctor Clarence?"
"Agent Reeves? Can I help you?" Doctor Clarence asks as Megan sits down.
"I was hoping I could see my mother. I'd...like to say goodbye."
"Of course."
"She's down in the morgue. I can take you there."
"Yes." Megan follows behind Dr. Clarence as they walk to the morgue.
"Thank you." Megan says when they walk up to the ME.
"Joan, this is Agent Reeves. She would like to see her mother, Lauren Reeves. "
"Of course. Just a second." Walking over to the desk she picks up a clipboard.
"Right this way." She leads Megan over to a body drawer. Megan gasps as Joan opens the drawer and pulls back the sheet.
"I'll give you a moment."
Megan looks down at her mother, tears streaming down her face.
"Why did you have to leave now, Mom?! Why couldn't you have waited just long enough so I could say goodbye?" She pauses, and sniffles.
"You'd be happy to know, that I talked to Dad. He's pretty banged up, but I think he'll be fine. And he said, Mom, he said that he loved me."
"I just wish you were here. I don't want to say goodbye, but I guess I have to, so, goodbye, Mom."
