The new development in Sherlock and John's life together meant that things were different, mostly around the flat. Outside the flat, when on cases, Sherlock was not overly affectionate. The only one who truly knew about them, so far, was Mycroft, and he continued to send texts to Sherlock and John both with oh-so-thoughtful warnings and the like.
