Confirmed, Chris Noth Leaving

"Sex and the City" star Chris Noth is done with "Law & Order: Criminal Intent."

Sources tell me Noth is leaving the series he's been with for five seasons, splitting leading-role duties with Vincent D'Onofrio. His replacement will be Jeff Goldblum, who comes to TV from a long film career that includes "The Fly" and "Independence Day."

No no no.. I am so bummed about this. I like Jeff Goldblum but still, I love Noth's Mike Logan a lot more.

Although I have to say, in this case I SO WANT there to be another In The Wee Small Hours-type ep with all 4 detectives, because having D'Onofrio and Goldblum in the same room together would just be a twitchiness explosion :DDD It would be EPIC.

Jeff Goldblum? Really? I liked him back in the day, but I get such a creeper vibe from him now that I don't know if I can watch him on CI.

I LOVE Logan, and I'm really bummed to see him go. Although I think it'll make for a good episode when he leaves. I wonder how they're going to write him off. I hope it at least leaves it open for him to come back. I think part of the revitalization of the show had to do with him, so I hope they pay him that respect.

As for Jeff Goldblum... I don't know much about him outside of Independence Day. We'll have to see.

I wonder if they WILL write him off -- there's only two episodes left...I'd thought they'd already filmed them...I'm HOPING that it's nothing drastic, nice quiet exit like Lennie or Rey was given.
