Kung fu movie star charged with promoting prostitution in Port Jeff Station

Investigators say Xiang Gao was operating a prostitution ring out of his Port Jefferson Station kung fu academy. Detectives seized $1,400 in cash, massage tables and prostitution paraphernalia from the kung fu studio. Neighbors near Gao’s academy say they are shocked to hear he may have been doing more than kung fu moves.
According to authorities, their investigation into the prostitution ring is widening and could lead to more arrests. Meanwhile, a Suffolk County judge ordered Gao be held on $10,000 bail.
