This week has just been a long one. A week ago from today Holly left to return to Tuscaloosa. We arrived home a little later than usual. We walk in to find that the dogs have torn a hole in our brand new carpet. The remains are scattered around the living room. We therefore chain them up outside. We come home the next night, and I go outside. I call Maycee and Jordyn and I can only see Maycee moving. I call again, and Jordyn has yet to get up. It scares me, so I run to the back and tell Stephen that it looks like Jordyn is dead. He goes outside and sees that she is fine. She is standing...in a three foot deep hole that she has started digging. Stephen drags her out, and they are fine for the rest of the night. We leave the next morning, and when Stephen goes home...Jordyn is dead. We have come to the conclusion that she had some of the carpet in her belly and it would not allow her to go potty. It's sad. I was really upset at first, but I am beginning to be okay.
The youth group will be arriving here shortly. We are taking a van load of kids to the IGNITE rally this afternoon in P-Cola. It should be fun. Churches from Mobile will be there...it'll be nice. This coming Wednesday I start teaching the kindergarten/1st grade class. I like that age.
I read a quote earlier that reminds me of the way we are viewed as a minister/minister's wife. "People will not remember how strong you were, but how hard you fall." So true. It's like we can't make mistakes and we have to please everyone. It gets really hard sometimes to listen to all of the people telling us how we need to be doing things. I am looking forward to the holidays. It's about time we get a break from it all.
I am waiting for Stephen to return from taking some people home. I hope that he is able to get back in time for us to leave for the youth rally. I am just so tired, I probably should be going home to get some things done around the house. I want to paint soon. I want the house to be completly done by Christmas. Hopefully, mom will be able to help. I am just ready to get things in order.
Okay, well...it's been a while, but that's all for now. I will talk to everyone later!
