thirty days of TV - 27 & 28
Yesterday was my day off from...everything. I did a lot of shopping and reading and very little internetting.
Day 27 - Best pilot episode
Deadwood, "Deadwood". rarely have I been hooked on a show from the very first episode. This one jumps in, feet first, and introduces a mass of amazing characters with various degrees of entanglement. These cocksuckers had me at fucking hello.
Day 28 - First TV show obsession
Sesame Street! I don't think I've ever wanted anything to be real as much as a world that Jim Henson had a large hand in creating. The first time I went to Sesame Place I was eight and it was possibly more magical than freaking Disney World. And this was before it became the massive water park it is today! Best school trip ever, and that is including the Franklin Institute and the dinosaur at the Academy of Natural Sciences. (Remember when there was only one dinosaur there?)
