errr...
.
rather aloe vera gel please.

I am SOOOOOO sun-burned.
..
I spent the day at Cannon Beach..
I've been to the Oregon coast aprox.  10 times since moving here in January of 2007...

however,
today.
today..... today..... was astoundingly beautiful.
woke up early and made some sandwiches for mz. bohart and myself..
add some apples, granola bars,  chocolate chip peanut butter oat cookies....  yum. yes please.

had some great road music on the way ...
this included singing "footloose" and "i'm in love with a stripper" super loud

low tide allowed me to see haystack rock in a way that I have never before...
all kinds of sea creatures out and about today....

naps in the sand....

and some clam chowder washed down with a fruity tasting beer.

*when we got back into town went to a Tiki party in a high-rise apartment in the South west..
.after moments of loud provocative cheers.... ..i got shirtless and wore a sea-shell bra...
which showed off my extremely red red red shoulders, back, chest, belly and arms.

yeee-ha for rum and those hawaiian flower necklaces.
.....

alas, I am at home.------in Oregon....   and it's  nearing 12:30am...

half drunk and exuding heat.
I heart Oregon.

~On the eastern end of the Columbia Gorge,
Washington melts down into slabs of earth,
the river runs wide below and Oregon rises up on the other side.
When you stand on the bluff and look out at the world it all comes together.

This IS OREGON...
the name that launched one of the largest overland migrations in the history of humanity,
spiritual home for Native Americans, where Lewis and Clark fell to their knees at the Pacific, a bastion of big trees
where mountains have spirit and shape...
This is loved land.
Pick a blade of grass and put it in your pocket. ~
