Don't Blink.

I need a nap or twenty. Working lots, and I think I'm coming down with something, and today, my only day off, has kind of been a wash as far as "getting things done" goes because of the possible cold I'm getting which had me in bed for a good chunk of the afternoon.

The Killing is on tonight!

Just a couple of hours and then I can get my fix. I didn't get to talk about last week's episode, which I loved, so I'll do that now here:

- I am so glad this show has given us Ray and Bullet, two characters I've already grown attached to, in differing ways, in a matter of just a couple of episodes. Ray's bit in this episode was sort of meandering at first, but then at the end when it became clear what he was doing, it sorta killed me (And not only because it was hard to watch, ick.) It's just, I don't even know how to handle the conflicting emotions I have about his character. Bullet remains lovely. I'm still incredibly pissed about what happened to her, but I won't let that take away from my enjoyment of her. The scenes with her and Lyric were just lovely in this episode and it made me want to root for them in a big way.

- I didn't even realize that Rayna is played by the same actor as Tariq in The LA Complex (Benjamin Charles Watson) until Bex Taylor-Klaus who plays Bullet tweeted something about him. (Gotta love anything that films in Canada for recognizable guest-stars!) That's at least two LA Complex alumni (Jewel and Benjamin) and three BSG alum if I'm keeping track (Callum, Tahmoh, & Aaron). Oh! And last season's search party leader (who I loved!) when Holder was missing is totally Vic from Orphan Black. Just so you guys know.

- The separation of our beloved two was getting to me at first, as it was clearly getting to Holder as well. But they came together so beautifully that I don't even mind. I really want them to be partners again and not just cops working on the same case. LET ME HAVE THIS, SHOW.

- Joe and his smelly cab are confounding to me. Get some gloves? I just... that scene was so fucked up in terms of... well, everything.

- I have theories (and have since the two-episode premiere) about who did it, but I feel like speculating too much on that front too early might ruin the discussion. If you guys want me to discuss that (and my theories could change by tonight) I will make a separate post at some point. Let me know!

I watched the first two episodes of Graceland and if they continue to focus on both characters and case (since procedural is not really my thing) in the way that they are, loyalty to the house and all, I think this will be something I could really love. I described it to gigglemonster as Spies meets The Real World. Which is oversimplifying it and a half, but as a general premise it totally fits that description. I see they're trying to push "Levi" and Charlie as a ship, but I have a feeling that's going to be a red herring, so-to-speak. Definitely give it a shot if you haven't seen it yet. As ozmissage pointed out, they're undercover agents with a chore wheel! What's not to like?

Still watching The Fosters. I had a dilemma after the first episode because, while I liked it, I was unsure of whether to proceed because I couldn't really imagine how they could continue to make it interesting. But I watched episode two and then just went all in because I am still somehow charmed by it. Go figure. I like an ABC Family show. Not the biggest shocker in the world.

I started the newest ep of Pretty Little Liars and then got distracted about 3/4ths of the way through because I was cooking and the family came in and commandeered the living room with their talking and their distractions, so I missed the ending. But I have to say that mid-way through the episode, I was having a hard time with it. I'll have to re-watch and reformulate my opinion the next time I get a chance.

Teen Wolf has been back for two episodes but I have completely failed at watching. I want to, I just haven't had a chance. Apparently it's been very good? (Also, I did not know that Colton was leaving, which is probably a good thing because I was unhappy with the direction they took Jackson.)

So I've been thinking of doing this fanfic throwback thing, and writing a bunch of my old pairings and stuff. I haven't decided how to go about that but my big instinct is to write a bunch of 500-1000 word fics (or longer, whatever happens!) and then post them all over a period of a week. Maybe revisit some of my old 'verses in the process. I don't know. I have a list. Maybe I'll work on it!
