This is SO good. Seriously, it's ridiculously good. I really liked it. Tyler/Stefan/Caroline isn't a pairing that you would normally see, and I think that's what I liked about it the most.

AHHHHH THIS IS GORGEOUS AND WONDERFUL AND ANGSTY AND SWEET AND EVERYTHING!
And I love it to pieces and pieces and pieces.
I can't put my finger on what it is about the way you write Tyler that makes me like him so much more than show!Tyler but damn I love him in this. [Maybe it's because he's having sexy times with Caroline and Stefan in your fic lol and not in the show]
I also really love Caroline in this. I love that she's such a strong center for the other two to revolve around. I can definitely see her taking that role. It works beautifully. And so so so many lines I love! Like this:

Stefan kisses Tyler in a way that makes Caroline envious, searching and slow and with a tenderness that makes the tips of her fingers involuntarily reach out for them.

So gorgeous. That whole paragraph about him being gentle to earn back Tyler's trust just melts my heart.

LOVED THIS!!!

I'm not usually one for sex + violence but when you're dealing with super-powered supernatural beings, it's just a reality and I love the way you dealt with it here. You didn't shy away from the ugliness of it or the effect it had on all three characters.

That said, I'm very happy the piece ended on a happy note! And that little scene of the three of them watching TV together was so damn adorable, I let out a bit of a squee :)

I had such reservations about posting this. You don't even know. I even had lengthy discussions about what to warn for and how to warn for it, and even whether or not to post the fic at all. But I'm glad I did and I'm glad that you saw what you saw in it, despite the ugliness of it, as you said.

Hee! I had literally just finished watching Mythbusters when I started to write this, so somehow it worked its way into my fic, lol.

See, now that you mention that about the dream, it makes me want to write some angsty sequel to this. Where it comes true (sorta). I would try to give it a happy ending though. ;) Promise. But to clarify, that was more or less a manifestations of Caroline's fears of being alone coupled with her subconscious telling her (what Stefan later tells her) about how it's time to leave Mystic Falls. I didn't intend for it to be foreshadowy!
