Lovely lovely lovely. I also admit to a deep, abiding love for this couple, and even if it'll never happen on the show, I can believe that something like this could take place in the future.

Caroline grabs his hand. "Stay?" she asks. And there's a danger in her voice that Stefan ignores. He moves to lock the deadbolt, and by the time he's through, Caroline is already tugging at his collar from behind. He turns in her grasp, and for the first time, their mouths connect.

This. I love this. And the line about how she bit her tongue....little snippets echoing of unspoken, unwarranted emotion.

My heart broke a little for Caroline's childlike hope for some kind of forgiveness/peace/understanding from Liz, and her desire to be a friend to werewolves because of the connection she had with Tyler. You can't fix the world, baby doll, but we love you for thinking you can.

Thank you! They really have a ton of potential for the future. And yes, that's one of my favorite thing about Caroline, she really does have this innocent hopeful quality to her. Despite everything.

Oh, I love this!!! It's my personal canon that at the end of it all, Stefan + Caroline will end up together. And not just because there's no one else left but because I think they've always been moving in that direction.

Here you totally captured what I love about Caroline/Stefan. He is grounded, empathetic yet and little jaded. And Caroline is strong and can be ruthless, but she is also so vulnerable and has the biggest heart. They fit together like pieces of a puzzle.
