Benefit the Ferrets!
Unable to afford them without a job, and having no place to house them at my new home either, i just surrendered my three ferrets to the place i had adopted them from not even a year ago... The West Michigan Ferret Connection is only a few miles away from the place i live now, so i'm sure i will be back to visit Velma, Oliver and Leela now and then..at least until they get adopted out :/ Those sweeties shouldn't have any problem with that.
I was talking with Dee when i dropped them off, and it came up that she was interested in finding someone to illustrate some questions from her FAQ list for a colouring book. I offered to do half a dozen or so drawings, and we agreed that it would be good to sell the drawings as a fund raiser as well. She has been putting together puzzles, word searches, and other such games for kids to work on at the presentations she does, and the inclusion of informative colouring pages would help fill it out nicely. I'd be more than happy to do them, and i look forward to the excuse to draw more ferrets :D
Also, if there is anyone else interested in donating ferret artwork to benefit the WMFC, please contact either me, or Dee (and if you contact her directly, and mention me, please don't refer to me as "Cricket" ..she will have no clue who you mean :P She should know who "Laura" or certainly "Laura Westrate" is though :) It's a terrific rescue organization that would really appreciate the help!
