Had soooo much fun camping this weekend....but I got a cold and feel like crap today :(

We camped out at Sequim Bay, and it was nice and foresty so it was really cool and shady, unlike Seattle and my oven of an apt. We walked down to the beach and there was this weird green stringy seaweed all over the place, it was like a carpet....I found some cool whole shells to add to my collection. Apparently, at some other time of the year, you can go clamming and geoducking....and they apparently "plant" them so there are more to get.
A new couple with their kid showed up saturday right next to us, and they were REALLY friendly. They invited us over for beer (cuz ya know, a "cold one" is neccesary for a good camping trip). The Dad and Isaac talked about boating, since he apparently had a huge boat up in Port Angeles. The kid always started a cnversation with "can I tell ya somethin'?" ANd he refused to talk to ISaac, he always wanted to tell ME somethin. He showed me their tent and invited me in, but I politely refused. We played Go Fish, and the kid (I think his name was Jon) didn't want to play, so the adults ended up playing. He then "helped" me play...which involved telling everyone what I had, and then told me one of the cards Isaac had, not so discretely.....lol. It was a lot of fun.

There was a restaurant called "The Three Crabs", right on the water, so we stopped in for some food. The had some of the best cod EVAR- it was breaded, but it was thin, so it didn't overwhelm the fish. We also had some yummy clam chowder and AWESOME crab cakes. It was very tasty...
We went up to Dungeness Spit and chilled on the sand for awhile. There was a 1/2 mile hike down to the water, but it was so breath-taking when we came around the corner and could see the whole thing....we figured it was about 5 miles long, and there was a lighthouse at the very end.
The waves were crazy big...well, not as big as in Hawaii, but still cool. We stood in the water, and it was so strong, it picked up rocks and flung them against our legs. We walked down a little ways and someone had taken a long time to make a big fort out of driftwood.

We got a map from the campsite that named streets completely wrong (yeah, that was fun), but we eventually found our way around...it was an adventure to say the least.
Well, the map advertised a wild animal farm that had a free petting zoo, so we were all over that. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be, and had real WILD animals (I thought it would be, chickens and donkeys and stuff, but no, I was wrong). Apparently to do the driving or walking tour cost money, so we were all like "hells no", so we just busted in for the free petting zoo. It was really awesome. There were really fat goats, and a rooster, bunnies, and sheep. Since my sandals were still salty from the beach, the goats started licking my shoes :)
Since everything was pretty open, we had a pretty good look at some of the animal areas. They had ostriches, elk, and buffalo....and we saw a huge lion in a cage. It was kinda shady tho...the lion cage was kinda small, and it made me sad. But all the other animals were in a huge field, so yeah.
