Longest (Training) Run Ever

Nov 13, 2005 11:03

I was supposed to meet my running partner this morning at 6am for a very long training run... in fact my longest run *ever*. I waited 20 minutes and he no-showed. Ah well. Instead I did my own route which worked out to be around 12.5 miles. This whole run-walk-run thing really does make a difference.

I may be a bit of a slow poke, but I got it done. My feet started to hurt around mile 11, but I soldiered on. I think it took me around 2h20m, which is about right for my training pace.

So, perhaps I will do that half marathon next weekend. Wheeeeee...
