This happened in the western part of the country. My brother is in the east. I called him yesterday and he was doing well -- said the volcano he can see from his house is quiet. I think I'll refrain from telling my folks that John lives in teh shadow of a volcano (and that El Salvador is the 2nd most dangerous country in Latin America).
