Happy Birthday to Me
Received yet another letter from my student loan lender. I get them from time to time, letting me know that they won't disclose my personal information, blah blah blah. No nasty-grams as I'm at least one month ahead on my payments.
I opened this letter expecting the same ol', same ol'. Much to my surprise, the second paragraph was different than I expected:
We are pleased to inform you that the remaining balance on your student loan(s) [...] have been forgiven. Your loan(s) are now considered paid in full and will be reported as such to all appropriate parties.
I had to read that several times to make sure I wasn't mistaken. There is also an 800 number listed which I'll definitely be calling to make sure this is correct.
Woo hoo!
Too bad I just mailed them another payment. :P
