Books I read for the month of November (most recent first):

- "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett

- "Message in a Bottle" by Nicholas Sparks

- "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden

- "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom

I wouldn't do these books any justice if I write a review of them since I'm no good at critiquing novels. ^.^' But I just have to say I'm no fan of unhappy ending. Heehee. I had a grand time reading them all, but only "Memoirs" and "Garden" goes to my all-time favorite books list. =) I grew up watching the anime versions of Burnett's novels and I've seen the movie adaptations as well so I'm really thrilled that I've read the "Garden" finally! It was heart-warming. Tonight, I'm gonna start reading her other famous novel, "A Little Princess." =D On the other hand, I have yet to see the movie version of "Memoirs" (though I'm reserving it for next year, if i leave...so I'll have something to do there). The book was beautiful plus I love Japan so it was an enjoyable read.

This month, I have a long list of books I wanna read, but what I'm really looking forward to reading are those classic children's literature that I only got to see either on tv or film, or have only read in passing, such as:

- "A Dog of Flanders" by Ouida
- "Pollyanna" by Eleanor H. Porter
- "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott
- "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and
- "Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain

(Yep. All of the above have anime versions and I've seen them all. XD )

December's here again which means cold days and even colder nights are here again (though it has been cold here since November came) - my favorite time of the year. Yay!  =D What better way to pass the time than by staying abed all day in my pj's with a good book in my hands. ^_^

books, musings
