The average temperature has literally dropped 10 degrees in the last two days, hasn't it? I was sitting outside on Sunday and managed to get sunburn on my face, which lead to:

I’ve just about finished reading Mad World: Evelyn Waugh and the Secrets of Brideshead. It’s an autobiography of Waugh, but it focuses on all the characters and themes and events that were collected over his life and put together into Brideshead Revisited. As arsingly difficult as it is to motivate myself to leave the house in the first place, it's not entirely unpleasant running through fields and woods, you get to see a lot of nature for a start.
