O man, yesterday was strange. The first part of the day absolutely sucked. Here's how it went:
1. I have to wake up because I had a first period exam. I was an unlucky one. So, I got to school and once I get up to my locker, the bell rang. Considering the band of my watch broke, I didn't know what time it was, and I couldn't be late to the exam because I'm late to the class almost every day. I ended up sitting in my AP Psych class for over 20 minutes because the normal bell had rung.
2. I think I failed my Psych exam, which will give me a C on my transcript. I'm feeling better about it now because it probably won't make a difference, but coming out of that exam just made me feel like shit. It didn't help when Acquard told me and 2 other kids that were there that 9 of her students had lost there A's by going AAD or AAE. That's encouraging.
3. When I got home I was just depressed. I sat on the couch and refused to move for an hour or two. Finally, my dad convinced me to get off my ass and take a shower so that I could get my provisionals off.
4. So, our fridge had some defects in it, and they were supposed to deliver it last monday but our electricity was off, so they were going to deliver it yesterday. So, they take off the cover, and there are these 2 humongous scratches across the front, and the inside is even worse. I found out after my shower.
5. My dad and I got to get my provisionals off. This is the one time I have seen a short line at the DMV. There was one person ahead of us. It took forever for another booth thing to open. I sit down and the guy goes "What would you like to do today?" He sounded so cheery. So I told him what I came for, and I gave him my license. He asked me how old I was. It took me a while to figure out 17 and 8 months. Then he starts "Well, as long as you don't get pulled over, you can come back . . ." I kind of tuned out right there and looked at hime like he was crazy, cause he was. I tried to convince him to take my provisionals off because I had my license for 18 months already. I had no fucking idea that with the new fucking law you had to be 17 and 9 months. He was like "Some people got screwed with the new law, and you were one of them." Thanks man, thanks. That was so fucking sad.
6. From the DMV we took our Mazda to get the emissions checked. Last time it barely passed, and it took a shitload of money to fix. They go through the whole thing to check it. It failed. I was thinking "Man, I just fail at everything today, dont I?" So, we have to get it fixed, or sell it/ trade it in, and bring it back (a new one or the Mazda) for another check. The best part is, we have to bring it back by May 24th. MY FUCKING BIRTHDAY! What does that tell you?
That was the shitty part of my day. Then, I start planning that night. The planning - not so much fun, but what we did was sooooo much fun:
1. Dinner at Chipotle. Pretty much, once I picked up Becca I started getting happier. We were at Chipotle around 6:30ish maybe. We stayed til around 9:30 ish? I dunno. The point is we were talking and having so much fun, that we didn't leave for almost 3 hours. we took lots of pictures too. After dinner, Anne had to leave :(, but we got to see Margot, which was fun. (P.S. Anne I hope Bud is better!)
2. Becca, Katie, Vinita, and I went to A.C. Moore. We were there til it closed. It was lots of fun to just look around at stuff. We saw beanie babies, and spent 10 minutes just reminiscing about our beanie baby days.
3. We went to Giant. We bought four tubs of Ben & Jerry's cause they were on sale, and we could take them home after. We also bought a thing of Pringles. And it was funny cause we had a caravan of 3 cars, and Vinita came out of nowhere and beat us all.
4. Then we went to Vinita's. We broke out the ice cream. Broke out the poker. Broke out the cheat sheet. We're just that awesome. We ate lots of ice cream, finished the Pringles, had some cookies, and played a lot of poker. We all had crappy ass hands, but it didn't matter cause we weren't gambling . . . yet. We also took lots and lots of pictures. And I couldn't stop laughing all night. I don't know what happened there.
Today was busy. I went to sleep at 2 and woke up at 10. I printed Genesis pictures, and a few from Muss. Then I bought scrapbook materials. Then I organized 2 care pakcages and wrote notes to go with thme. The post office confused me. Majorly. I met Becca at the mall, and we checked out some sales. I only had $10 left though, so I didn't buy anything.
Good times
