Um, hi.
I'm not even going to talk about how long it's been since I posted. It's just been WAY too long.
I'm at work by myself today and I was pottering around getting stuff done when I suddenly thought about LJ. I remember a time that I used to check LJ at work, but I haven't done that for a while. So I started going through some old posts and realised that I miss you guys. So I'm doing a little (enormous) update :-)
A lot has happened in my live in the past year. It's been insane. My husband had lost his job but because of this he applied for another job, which I'm happy to say he got. He's happier than I've seen him in ages. He loves his job, he works with amazing people, he's home every night by 5.30 at the latest and he's quit smoking!! It's fantastic!! As difficult as the months where we've come out on top. He's not getting paid as much, but the job isn't back breaking like his last one, and to be honest money, though extremely helpful, isn't always the most important thing. And with this job he's more likely to get regular pay rises.
My kids just won't stop growing, my oldest daughter is now 14 and taller than me O_o. She loves standing beside me now! She's in her second year at high school and so far so good. She has a goal at the end of high school and is quite determined to reach it so she's working very hard at school. She's had a boy that she likes and he likes her, but she has told him that she's too young for a boyfriend right now and wants to wait till she's 16! Proud mummy moment right there! And to be honest a huge Phew! I am aware that we may not get to 16 though. She really is a beautiful girl, who really doesn't care if she acts the fool. Boys are ever present *sigh*
My other daughter is 12 and isn't interested in boys (thankfully) She would rather dance and play field hockey. She's also doing very well at school. (I'd like to say it's me, but their father is really bright, not that I'd tell him that Lol)
My little boy will be 5 in July! He's off to school soon and is the funniest, craziest kid around. He pulls the silliest faces just to get us laughing.
As for me, I'm still in the same job, for now. We were told about a month ago that we're closing down in the next 12-18 months. It's sad, I've been here for 8 years now and enjoy what I do. But with hubby's new job there is a potential to move down south and live in my home town again. So I guess this will work out ok. I'm still running after the kids. My 14 year old does netball and crossfit, by 12 year old does ballet, musical theatre and hockey, and my boy does rugby. So busy as always, but happy about it :-)
My only complaint at the moment is now that winter is setting in all our favourite shows are ending! Supernatural, Sheild, Arrow, The Flash have all finished. Person of Interest is still going here and Blacklist. Hubby and I love these two a lot. We've been catching up on Outlander as well. Love this show but it's weird how they split the first season up.
