Hmmm, as I am currently in the throes of a full blown love affair with the new BBC show The Musketeers, I have to say Santiago Cabrera has my heart right now. I've adored him since Merlin, but he's fantastic as Aramis, charming and witty and generally just fucking awesome.

HOWEVER. I also can't wait for Nikolaj Coster-Waldau to be back on my screen in April as Jaime Lannister because I love him. Love the beard. Love everything.

Ah, a tough one. Let me 'examine' the evidence a little closer *eyebrow wiggle* Really, all I can say is Holy smoulder eyes Batman! Santiago is all over the Hotness! Yes, there is no denying the intense steam from Nikolaj, but whoa, Santiago certainly ticks all the boxes. I remember him from Merlin, he was brilliant on it. But I remember part of me didn't like him because he was Lancelot, and I really liked Arthur :-) My vote is for Santiago, because how could it not be ;-)

I haven't seen The Musketeers, but I love The Three Musketeers and Aramis has always been my favourite. Santiago Cabrera is seriously hot, but also has that kind of intellectual quality I would expect to see from Aramis. Of course, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is also gorgeous, but I think I'd have to vote for Santiago Cabrera based on the Aramis thing. *g*

Aramis has always been my favourite character in The Three Musketeers! I've watched one episode of this new series, but I dislike the actor playing D'Artagan. Santiago Cabrera is good as Aramis.

I wouldn't mind seeing it considering the positive buzz that seems to surround it. I'm sorry you don't like the actor playing D'Artagnan. Even though Aramis is my favourite, I'd say that the most important bit of casting is D'Artagnan. You have to get him right.
