Insound Newsletter: Missed CMJ Connections
Dear WXCJ,
I know this might sound weird but I met one of your DJs at this Tom Vek show at CMJ last week and we spoke practically all night. But I was too shy to ask her name. She was about 5'7" and had shortish blond hair and cute bangs and was really into Slint and Tristeza. And I told her I work at Insound and she told me that she shops at Insound all the time. And we both were really excited about the new American Analog Set record but she said that they sometimes bore her and I told her to give them another chance because they are dreamy. And I saw her again at The Constantines show the next day and I was wearing a Wolf Parade t-shirt and she smiled at it (I think) and then got some free PBR. And then my friends made me go get a slice of pizza with them and when I came back, she was gone. Anyway, if you could circulate this around the office, I'd really appreciate it. She went through a couple of her playlists from last week and really feel like we made a real connection. I feel like she could be my soul mate. Even if you don't know what I'm talking about, thanks for reading this. I'll never forget that DJ girl. Or CMJ 2005.
