Listening too long to one song...

Hillary and I spent the weekend in Scenic St. Henry, Ohio. A friend of mine, Chris Summers, married Laurie Hemmelgarn (younger sister of a friend), and I was a groomsman. The bride was radiant. The groom was in good spirits after we handled the issue of him being locked out of his apartment. And the groom's father, bless his heart, managed to pull some family strings to bring in some INCREDIBLE wine from the Russian River Valley. I heartily suggest Summers wines. Apparently, I had enough of it that I was a willing and able dancer for the first time in my life. Ergo, Hillary enjoyed herself.

I've distributed copies of my summer mix CD, "Pick Me Up." If you'd like to have a copy, send me your mailing address, as I have a few copies left. Here's the tracklisting...

I'm back at work, yawning, needing coffee, and slowly realizing that the next 4 weeks will be the busiest weeks of my (first?) year as Assistant to the Director. Must get coffee. Must get through emails. Must get ready for 2pm meeting.

Finally, this is Hillary's first day of work! She's starting at the World Wildlife Fund. When we first started talking about her moving to DC and brainstorming about jobs, the WWF was one of the first institutions mentioned. Without doubt, she's excited to be working at a place that fits her interests so well, and I'm excited about not having to pay for dinner and groceries when that first paycheck arrives in 2 weeks ;-) Email her "good luck," say a prayer, what have you. Thanks!
